The songs are engaging and memorably crafted, drawing on a mixture of traditional; the transcendent intensity of gospel, the brutish gusto of punk rocking, the earnest idiosyncrasy of American folk, the sonic inclusiveness of tropical, the planned jamming of prog, and the sincere bombast of musical theatre.
