The enigmatic song title "Rrose Sélavy, Yet It Is Always Others Who Die - MNNK MADE" originates from the collaborative fashion label created by Takashi Murakami and Yuta Hosokawa, inspired by Marcel Duchamp-widely regarded as the father of contemporary art. ("Rrose Sélavy" was Duchamp's famous female alter ego, while "It is always others who die" is the epitaph on Duchamp's tombstone.) Hosokawa's renowned brand READYMADE also draws it's name directly from Duchamp's groundbreaking concept of the "readymade," first embodied by his iconic urinal work titled Fountain, which fundamentally transformed the course of modern art. The vinyl jacket reinterprets this conceptual lineage, featuring new artwork by Murakami that reimagines Duchamp's masterpieces and connects the history of contemporary art to this unique musical project.
